William Wei is a professor of history at the University of Colorado Boulder and the Colorado State Historian for the 2024-2025 term. He was also the State Historian for the 2019-2020 term. A frequent contributor to History Colorado’s publications, he was the lead advisor on the History Colorado Center exhibit Zoom In: The Centennial State in 100 Objects and authored the exhibition's companion book, Becoming Colorado: The Centennial State in 100 Objects, published by History Colorado and the University Press of Colorado in 2021.
