Curatorial Services and Collections Access (CSCA)
CSCA programs, developed by curatorial and collections staff, offer history lovers the opportunity to hear in person from individuals making history matter. Find out about the many ways to use and access History Colorado’s permanent collection, gather research tips, learn about caring for historic materials, and even take courses on professional museum practices.
- How-To
-
How-To is a series which focuses on sharing collection resources and staff expertise in workshops, tutorials, and lectures so that you can connect to History Colorado's collection, learn to utilize museum collections for your research, and learn to better care for your own pieces of history.
- Meet The Collection
-
Curious about History Colorado’s collection? Join us for Meet the Collection, a program meant to inspire, spark conversation and connect people with The Collection. This is a unique chance to see and interact with some rare, beautiful, unusual and sometimes common items with significant stories to tell. You'll have the opportunity to meet with staff, donors, conservators, content experts or others that care for, and find inspiration from, History Colorado’s 15 million plus items representing 13,000 years of human history in our state.
- Museum Connections
-
Museum Connections is a monthly series held virtually on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 12-1PM. Every month a new topic will be covered that focuses on fundamentals of museum work as well as new and innovative solutions to museum work. Classes are taught by History Colorado staff as well as other museum professionals from across the state of Colorado.
The cost to attend a single class is only $10 per person and open to museum volunteers and professionals from all backgrounds and institution sizes. All classes are FREE for members of History Colorado’s Affiliates Program.
