History Colorado is committed to providing hands-on learning and career experience through our internship program. Interns have the opportunity to work closely with museum professionals on a variety of projects to gain practical training in museum work.

Summer 2026 Marketing Production Internship

Stipend: $2,400. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research during the tenure of the appointment and will be issued upon completion of the internship.

Qualified candidates may receive academic credit through their college or university. *Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit.

Desired Schedule: 16 hours per week (May–September 2026). Exact schedule to be determined by the intern and their supervisor.

Summer 2026 Trinidad History Museum Guest Services Internship

Stipend: $4,000. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research during the tenure of the appointment and will be issued upon completion of the internship.

Desired Schedule: 20 hours/week (May - August, 2026) for a total of 300 hours. Exact schedule to be determined by the intern and their supervisor.

Summer 2026 Center for Colorado Women's History Events Intern

Stipend: $2,000. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research during the tenure of the appointment and will be issued upon completion of the internship.

Desired Schedule: 16 hours per week (about 160 total hours) from May 1st through September 27th, 2026. You’ll need to be available on Tuesday afternoons and evenings during June–August, plus Saturdays and Sundays throughout the internship.

Summer 2026 Exhibition Development Internship

Stipend: $1,500. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research during the tenure of the appointment and will be issued upon completion of the internship.

Desired Schedule: A Minimum of 6 hours/week for at least 78 total hours (May 26- August 14; flexible start and end date and weekly schedule will be determined with student’s school schedule)

Stipend: $1,500. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research during the tenure of the appointment and will be issued upon completion of the internship.

Summer 2026 El Pueblo History Museum Camp Program Internship

Stipend: $4,000. The stipend is not salary or compensation. The stipend is meant to support study and research during the tenure of the appointment.

Desired Schedule: This role requires 28 hours per week during the period of June 1 –August 14, 2026 for a total of 300 hours. (Exact schedule to be determined by the intern and their supervisor.)

Desired Schedule: 12-16 hours/week, May 18 - July 31, 2026 for a total of 150 hours. Dates and weekly schedule will be determined collaboratively by the intern and supervisor.
